The Career Development Office (CDO) connects students with companies, alumni, and leaders who can help guide them toward rewarding careers. Workshops, club activities, and networking events put you face-to-face with industry leaders so you can envision your future. Activities include a one-week immersion West Coast data science trek, dedicated one-to-one career advising, a monthly analytics industry speaker series, as well as tailored resume and LinkedIn workshops.

Career activity is happening everywhere at MIT Sloan. This year, the CDO launched Your CDO to bring the many sources of career activity together in one place. Your CDO connects you with career advice, events, clubs, resources, and job postings, customized by your program and career interests.
Your CDO features 12 industry and affinity communities, as well as an MBAn career community. Through Your CDO, you will have access to top company databases and a vast collection of industry guides, AI resume and LinkedIn profile tools, interview preparation tools, and targeted career resources just for MBAn students.

Your MBAn advisor is focused solely on students in the MBAn program, and curates an educational experience to help you succeed in the market.
Your advisor leads small-group career skill sessions and one-on-one personalized advising sessions to guide you in learning about career skills and career paths, identifying and building on areas of strength, and developing a successful career strategy.
We believe that you are the CEO of your own career, and our goal is to help you understand how your unique talents can guide you in leaving your own unique fingerprint on the future of business.
When you graduate, MIT Sloan continues to offer career support to you as an alumni through in-person or remote advising sessions, career events and webinars, and career resources for experienced alumni. Held each April, the MIT Sloan Career Fair offers students a unique opportunity to network and interview with numerous companies in a single day.

Held monthly, the Analytics Speaker Series invites data scientists from the most renowned companies in the world to come meet and present to our students. These speakers are leaders and innovators from companies like Salesforce, Microsoft, Citizens Bank, Quantum Black, Unilever, Stitch Fix, Oscar Health, Bain & Company, and more.

Occurring in March each year, the NYC Data Science Trek is a unique and exciting opportunity for our students to connect and network with data scientists and data architects in the most prestigious and cutting-edge US companies. Open AI, BCG, Amazon, Meta, Accenture, and LinkedIn are just a few names of the companies on our list! As an MBAn student, you will engage with companies, MBAn alumni, and opportunities from all over the world during this trek.

MIT Sloan student clubs organize many activities that bring students together with corporate leaders. These activities range from single-day events, such as visits from guest speakers in classes or seminars, to more involved trips to companies’ headquarters to meet with executives. Clubs are a great way to learn more about industry interests and network with the greater MIT Sloan Community.

MIT Sloan attracts a range of well-known companies, allowing students to explore numerous career opportunities in technology, management consulting, financial services, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, retail, and more. Through company presentations, office hours/coffee chats, industry events, and networking events sponsored by the Career Development Office, the MIT Master of Business Analytics Program, and other teams at MIT, students will have the chance to explore industries and sectors they may not have considered before.
